Shaquille O’Neal isn’t worried at all about being schooled by Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard in a rap battle like Marvin Bagley III was in June.

Lillard — known as Dame D.O.L.L.A. on his albums — recently said on the Joe Budden Podcast that he raps better than Shaq did, adding that he was viewed “as Shaq.”

“People weren’t looking at it like, this is a real rapper,” he added. “It was like, that’s Shaq rapping.”

O’Neal heard what he said and decided to drop a diss track on Lillard, and … it’s good! He posted the video of a puppet Shaq performing it:

The best lines in there?

You know what’s about to happen: Lillard will come back with something scathing. And it’s coming soon:

Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard promised he would get back at Shaquille O’Neal after the Hall of Famer dropped a diss track to respond to Lillard saying he was a better rapper.

On Tuesday morning, Lillard responded with “Reign Reign Go Away” (already a fantastic title), a track that’s full of references to O’Neal. That includes lines about his movie career (“New school, got new hits/Space Jam, not Blue Chips), his free throw struggles and the claim that “Kobe won you them rings though.
